Practical travel guide
Alicante Terminal and other transport points
Alicante Terminal is the railway station at Avenida Salamanca, 1. The TRAM network and bus station involve other transport points, so “Alicante station” alone is not enough. Copy the name from your ticket and specify whether you arrive by train, tram or coach. Check the agreed outdoor meeting location before moving your bags. If other travellers arrive by a different mode, first arrange where you will gather. The request should identify the point where the whole group will actually be ready to leave together.
Santa Bárbara: distinguish the lower entrance from the castle
Santa Bárbara Castle has several access options. The lifts are on Avenida Juan Bautista Lafora opposite Postiguet beach; this lower entrance is not the same as the upper castle area. When arranging a taxi, decide which visitor route you will use and confirm the corresponding road meeting point. Do not assume the vehicle can enter the castle grounds. If you return by a different access from the one used on the way up, update pickup accordingly. Check visiting conditions and any mobility requirements separately from the road transfer.
Postiguet beach and the airport journey
Postiguet beach is separate from the castle, even though it helps locate the lift entrance. After visiting Santa Bárbara, specify whether you will wait near that access or elsewhere along the beach promenade. For a flight, use Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport and the code ALC rather than leaving only Alicante as the destination. If you need to stop at your accommodation before heading to the airport, add that address and stop. Make sure the return location is not still set to the station if you have spent the day on the waterfront.
Prepare your pickup
Enter the street, building number and accommodation name when it helps identify the entrance. If arriving by train or plane, prepare the journey reference and keep your phone reachable. Check the summary before sending your request and then follow the confirmation instructions. Sending a request is not yet confirmation of a driver, and a general address does not replace an agreed meeting point.
Luggage, children and individual requirements
Count passengers, suitcases and bulky items separately. A group carrying several bags may need a different vehicle from two people with hand luggage. Mention children, pushchairs or accessibility requirements in advance. Do not assume that a child seat or suitable vehicle is available: wait for the necessary features to be confirmed before relying on the transfer.
Journey price and travel time
The journey price depends on the applicable taxi rules, route and any supplements. Do not read a journey-time estimate as a guaranteed price, or confuse the fare with the platform service. Pay the fare directly to the driver. Leave a margin before a flight, train or event: road traffic, luggage and access arrangements can all affect the overall time.
Taxi questions
How do I book a taxi in Alicante?
Complete the form with full pickup and destination addresses, time, passengers and a reachable phone number. In Alicante, use the street and building number rather than just a neighbourhood. Check the summary and follow the confirmation you receive.
Which station should I enter in Alicante?
This guide covers Alicante Terminal station. Check your ticket and enter the exact station name and agreed exit. A pre-booked meeting point may differ from the public taxi rank.
How do I arrange an airport taxi?
For Alicante, check the correct airport: Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport (ALC). Prepare the flight, terminal and luggage details. Allow for leaving arrivals or checking in, and avoid confusing different airports when entering your destination.
Can the taxi stop outside my accommodation?
That depends on road access and street restrictions. Provide the full address and ask your accommodation which entrance to use. If the entrance is pedestrian-only, agree on a permitted meeting point and separately arrange any walking or luggage assistance you need between that point and the accommodation.
Can I travel with luggage or children?
Mention passenger numbers, luggage size and quantity, and any children’s requirements. Child seats, extra space or accessibility need specific confirmation; do not assume they are automatically included.
How much does a taxi in Alicante cost?
There is no single fare for every journey in Alicante. Taxi fare rules apply, including any conditions for predetermined routes where relevant. Confirm the ride conditions with the driver and request a receipt.
Does sending a request immediately guarantee a driver?
No. Sending the form starts a request. Availability and pickup still need confirmation. Before going to a meeting point, check the instructions received and your journey details.
