Practical travel guide
The railway station on Avenida de Andaluces
Granada’s railway station is on Avenida de Andaluces. It is separate from the bus station, even though both might be shortened to “the station” in conversation. Confirm your arrival mode and copy the name on your ticket before requesting pickup. If someone is meeting you, send them the same agreed location so they do not go to the wrong building. To continue towards the Alhambra, clarify which entrance you need and whether you will take your bags directly or leave them at your accommodation first.
Planning an Alhambra and Generalife visit
The Alhambra and Generalife form a complex with different access points and visitor routes. Before selecting the taxi destination, consult your admission information and planned visit. A transport request does not replace a monument reservation or establish one universal entrance for every visitor. Agree on a road meeting point compatible with the access you will use. If your route ends elsewhere in the complex, update the return pickup. Mention any difficulty walking as well, because a vehicle transfer does not by itself cover every movement within the grounds.
The cathedral and your journey to GRX
Granada Cathedral is a different sightseeing destination from the Alhambra. If you continue to the centre after visiting the complex, do not keep the Alhambra as your pickup address. Specify where you will finish and confirm a point the vehicle can reach. For a flight, use Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén Airport and code GRX; this should not be confused with an address in the city of Jaén. If you need to collect luggage from your hotel, include that stop so the proposed airport journey describes all the stages you require.
Prepare your pickup
Enter the street, building number and accommodation name when it helps identify the entrance. If arriving by train or plane, prepare the journey reference and keep your phone reachable. Check the summary before sending your request and then follow the confirmation instructions. Sending a request is not yet confirmation of a driver, and a general address does not replace an agreed meeting point.
Luggage, children and individual requirements
Count passengers, suitcases and bulky items separately. A group carrying several bags may need a different vehicle from two people with hand luggage. Mention children, pushchairs or accessibility requirements in advance. Do not assume that a child seat or suitable vehicle is available: wait for the necessary features to be confirmed before relying on the transfer.
Journey price and travel time
The journey price depends on the applicable taxi rules, route and any supplements. Do not read a journey-time estimate as a guaranteed price, or confuse the fare with the platform service. Pay the fare directly to the driver. Leave a margin before a flight, train or event: road traffic, luggage and access arrangements can all affect the overall time.
Taxi questions
How do I book a taxi in Granada?
Complete the form with full pickup and destination addresses, time, passengers and a reachable phone number. In Granada, use the street and building number rather than just a neighbourhood. Check the summary and follow the confirmation you receive.
Which station should I enter in Granada?
This guide covers Granada station. Check your ticket and enter the exact station name and agreed exit. A pre-booked meeting point may differ from the public taxi rank.
How do I arrange an airport taxi?
For Granada, check the correct airport: Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén Airport (GRX). Prepare the flight, terminal and luggage details. Allow for leaving arrivals or checking in, and avoid confusing different airports when entering your destination.
Can the taxi stop outside my accommodation?
That depends on road access and street restrictions. Provide the full address and ask your accommodation which entrance to use. If the entrance is pedestrian-only, agree on a permitted meeting point and separately arrange any walking or luggage assistance you need between that point and the accommodation.
Can I travel with luggage or children?
Mention passenger numbers, luggage size and quantity, and any children’s requirements. Child seats, extra space or accessibility need specific confirmation; do not assume they are automatically included.
How much does a taxi in Granada cost?
There is no single fare for every journey in Granada. Taxi fare rules apply, including any conditions for predetermined routes where relevant. Confirm the ride conditions with the driver and request a receipt.
Does sending a request immediately guarantee a driver?
No. Sending the form starts a request. Availability and pickup still need confirmation. Before going to a meeting point, check the instructions received and your journey details.
