Practical travel guide
Mallorca and Palma: name the municipality
Mallorca is the island and Palma is its capital; these names do not describe the same area for pickup. When preparing your taxi request, provide the municipality, accommodation name and full address. A booking that only says Mallorca does not establish where on the island your group will be. For air travel, identify Palma de Mallorca Airport using the code PMI. Also check the ground destination of the transfer, particularly when your hotel is outside Palma but the airport name refers to the capital.
Island trains and your connecting station
Mallorca has a railway network connecting Palma with Inca, Sa Pobla and Manacor. If combining train and taxi, copy the actual station from your itinerary and distinguish Palma’s intermodal station from Inca station. A beach or coastal municipality does not necessarily have a railway station beside the accommodation. Confirm where the rail section ends, which exit you will use and the address of the next stage. When travelling with several bags, arrange the outdoor meeting point before leaving the station with the whole group.
Alcúdia: old town, coast and port
Alcúdia, in the northeast of the island, includes a walled historic centre and coastal areas that need a more precise address. A visit to the walls does not itself identify the port or beach you intend to reach afterwards. Describe the area and road access, then agree on a permitted return meeting point. If continuing by sea, keep the terminal and operator details from your maritime booking. Arrange the road transfer and the crossing separately rather than assuming that boat tickets are included in the taxi journey.
Prepare your pickup
Enter the street, building number and accommodation name when it helps identify the entrance. If arriving by train or plane, prepare the journey reference and keep your phone reachable. Check the summary before sending your request and then follow the confirmation instructions. Sending a request is not yet confirmation of a driver, and a general address does not replace an agreed meeting point.
Luggage, children and individual requirements
Count passengers, suitcases and bulky items separately. A group carrying several bags may need a different vehicle from two people with hand luggage. Mention children, pushchairs or accessibility requirements in advance. Do not assume that a child seat or suitable vehicle is available: wait for the necessary features to be confirmed before relying on the transfer.
Journey price and travel time
The journey price depends on the applicable taxi rules, route and any supplements. Do not read a journey-time estimate as a guaranteed price, or confuse the fare with the platform service. Pay the fare directly to the driver. Leave a margin before a flight, train or event: road traffic, luggage and access arrangements can all affect the overall time.
Taxi questions
How do I book a taxi on Mallorca?
Complete the form with full pickup and destination addresses, time, passengers and a reachable phone number. On Mallorca, use the street and building number rather than just a neighbourhood. Check the summary and follow the confirmation you receive.
Which station should I enter on Mallorca?
This guide covers Palma Intermodal station, Inca station. Check your ticket and enter the exact station name and agreed exit. A pre-booked meeting point may differ from the public taxi rank.
How do I arrange an airport taxi?
For Mallorca, check the correct airport: Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI). Prepare the flight, terminal and luggage details. Allow for leaving arrivals or checking in, and avoid confusing different airports when entering your destination.
Can the taxi stop outside my accommodation?
That depends on road access and street restrictions. Provide the full address and ask your accommodation which entrance to use. If the entrance is pedestrian-only, agree on a permitted meeting point and separately arrange any walking or luggage assistance you need between that point and the accommodation.
Can I travel with luggage or children?
Mention passenger numbers, luggage size and quantity, and any children’s requirements. Child seats, extra space or accessibility need specific confirmation; do not assume they are automatically included.
How much does a taxi on Mallorca cost?
There is no single fare for every journey on Mallorca. Taxi fare rules apply, including any conditions for predetermined routes where relevant. Confirm the ride conditions with the driver and request a receipt.
Does sending a request immediately guarantee a driver?
No. Sending the form starts a request. Availability and pickup still need confirmation. Before going to a meeting point, check the instructions received and your journey details.
