Practical travel guide
Marbella bus station
Marbella bus station is on Avenida del Trapiche. It is separate from the San Pedro Alcántara terminal on Avenida Norberto Goizueta Díaz and is not a railway station. Copy the actual arrival point from your ticket and confirm where to meet after leaving the bus. If your journey starts with a train arriving at Málaga-María Zambrano, identify that station outside Marbella and arrange the onward road connection separately, using the precise destination address for the final part of the journey.
Plaza de los Naranjos in the old town
Plaza de los Naranjos is an old town landmark where the town hall and Santiago chapel are located. Its name helps locate a visit but does not identify every restaurant or accommodation doorway in the nearby streets. Enter the establishment’s address and ask about the available vehicle access. To return after walking, agree on a road meeting point without assuming pickup inside the square or directly beside each monument you have included in your visit.
Puerto Banús and the other marinas
Puerto Banús is one of the municipality’s marinas and should not be confused with Puerto Deportivo de Marbella, Marina La Bajadilla or Cabopino. When arranging a transfer, keep the marina’s name and add the agreed entrance or street, particularly if someone is waiting at a specific establishment. A walk along the quays does not determine where a taxi can reach. For onward travel to Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport, use AGP and provide the details of your flight.
Prepare your pickup
Enter the street, building number and accommodation name when it helps identify the entrance. If arriving by plane, prepare the journey reference and keep your phone reachable. Check the summary before sending your request and then follow the confirmation instructions. Sending a request is not yet confirmation of a driver, and a general address does not replace an agreed meeting point.
Luggage, children and individual requirements
Count passengers, suitcases and bulky items separately. A group carrying several bags may need a different vehicle from two people with hand luggage. Mention children, pushchairs or accessibility requirements in advance. Do not assume that a child seat or suitable vehicle is available: wait for the necessary features to be confirmed before relying on the transfer.
Journey price and travel time
The journey price depends on the applicable taxi rules, route and any supplements. Do not read a journey-time estimate as a guaranteed price, or confuse the fare with the platform service. Pay the fare directly to the driver. Leave a margin before a flight or event: road traffic, luggage and access arrangements can all affect the overall time.
Taxi questions
How do I book a taxi in Marbella?
Complete the form with full pickup and destination addresses, time, passengers and a reachable phone number. In Marbella, use the street and building number rather than just a neighbourhood. Check the summary and follow the confirmation you receive.
Which meeting point should I enter?
Do not use a local railway station as a reference in this guide. Enter the actual accommodation address or agreed access to your visitor destination. If your journey includes a train in another town, copy that station’s name and arrange the external transfer separately.
How do I arrange an airport taxi?
For Marbella, check the correct airport: Málaga-Costa del Sol (AGP). Prepare the flight, terminal and luggage details. Allow for leaving arrivals or checking in, and avoid confusing different airports when entering your destination.
Can the taxi stop outside my accommodation?
That depends on road access and local restrictions. Provide the full accommodation address and ask which entrance to use. If you are visiting a museum or monument, give its name and confirmed meeting point separately.
Can I travel with luggage or children?
Mention passenger numbers, luggage size and quantity, and any children’s requirements. Child seats, extra space or accessibility need specific confirmation; do not assume they are automatically included.
How much does a taxi in Marbella cost?
There is no single fare for every journey in Marbella. Taxi fare rules apply, including any conditions for predetermined routes where relevant. Confirm the ride conditions with the driver and request a receipt.
Does sending a request immediately guarantee a driver?
No. Sending the form starts a request. Availability and pickup still need confirmation. Before going to a meeting point, check the instructions received and your journey details.
