Practical travel guide
Tarragona and Camp de Tarragona: two stations
Tarragona’s urban railway station and the high-speed station Camp de Tarragona are different places. Camp de Tarragona is in La Secuita: a transfer between them is not a simple platform change within the same building. Read the full name on your ticket and specify the exact station when preparing the taxi request. If connecting two trains, provide the arrival of the first and departure of the next, then confirm the respective entrances. Do not use only the city name to describe this connection between stations.
The amphitheatre and El Serrallo
The Roman amphitheatre is close to the waterfront, while El Serrallo is a separate fishing neighbourhood beside the port area. If visiting both, specify where your route begins and where the walk finishes. A point inside the archaeological remains is not a car pickup location. Agree on an accessible outdoor meeting point and retain the return street address. If you stay for a meal in El Serrallo, use the establishment’s address to update the meeting arrangements after the sightseeing part of your visit.
Reus, Barcelona and port access
For air travel, distinguish Reus, code REU, from Barcelona-El Prat, code BCN. Tarragona appearing in your accommodation address does not itself determine which airport is on your booking. Check the flight before requesting a transfer and provide the terminal where relevant. Port travel also requires precision: the commercial port, marina and cruise call location are not one meeting point. If arriving by sea, use the terminal confirmed by your operator and agree on where the vehicle can meet you outside any restricted areas.
Prepare your pickup
Enter the street, building number and accommodation name when it helps identify the entrance. If arriving by train or plane, prepare the journey reference and keep your phone reachable. Check the summary before sending your request and then follow the confirmation instructions. Sending a request is not yet confirmation of a driver, and a general address does not replace an agreed meeting point.
Luggage, children and individual requirements
Count passengers, suitcases and bulky items separately. A group carrying several bags may need a different vehicle from two people with hand luggage. Mention children, pushchairs or accessibility requirements in advance. Do not assume that a child seat or suitable vehicle is available: wait for the necessary features to be confirmed before relying on the transfer.
Journey price and travel time
The journey price depends on the applicable taxi rules, route and any supplements. Do not read a journey-time estimate as a guaranteed price, or confuse the fare with the platform service. Pay the fare directly to the driver. Leave a margin before a flight, train or event: road traffic, luggage and access arrangements can all affect the overall time.
Taxi questions
How do I book a taxi in Tarragona?
Complete the form with full pickup and destination addresses, time, passengers and a reachable phone number. In Tarragona, use the street and building number rather than just a neighbourhood. Check the summary and follow the confirmation you receive.
Which station should I enter in Tarragona?
This guide covers Tarragona station, Camp de Tarragona station. Check your ticket and enter the exact station name and agreed exit. A pre-booked meeting point may differ from the public taxi rank.
How do I arrange an airport taxi?
For Tarragona, check the correct airport: Reus Airport (REU). Prepare the flight, terminal and luggage details. Allow for leaving arrivals or checking in, and avoid confusing different airports when entering your destination.
Can the taxi stop outside my accommodation?
That depends on road access and street restrictions. Provide the full address and ask your accommodation which entrance to use. If the entrance is pedestrian-only, agree on a permitted meeting point and separately arrange any walking or luggage assistance you need between that point and the accommodation.
Can I travel with luggage or children?
Mention passenger numbers, luggage size and quantity, and any children’s requirements. Child seats, extra space or accessibility need specific confirmation; do not assume they are automatically included.
How much does a taxi in Tarragona cost?
There is no single fare for every journey in Tarragona. Taxi fare rules apply, including any conditions for predetermined routes where relevant. Confirm the ride conditions with the driver and request a receipt.
Does sending a request immediately guarantee a driver?
No. Sending the form starts a request. Availability and pickup still need confirmation. Before going to a meeting point, check the instructions received and your journey details.
